The evening light has been so beautiful here on the farm the past few weeks… I love and live for Springtime!! We have been wanting to do some “Leaving Middle School” photos but just haven’t taken the time to do them. So this evening we just took an hour and enjoyed the beautiful weather. I can’t believe that she is already 14 and heading into High School in the Fall. If any of you parents out there have an eighth grader getting ready to graduate, remember that this is such an amazing time in your child’s life. I encourage you to get to a photographer that you love and get some beautiful photos made of you child before they start the High School years… I am so happy that we did these today. I thank God for my beautiful daughter and hope that she stays as sweet as she is right now…

Married= Amy + Jon

April 6, 2010

Preparations… all the details and sometimes painful (notice the grimacing look as the Bobbie pins go in)  rituals that it takes to make the gorgeous bride as seen above… well worth all the effort!

The dress. Ahhhh the dress.

The ceremony was so romantic.

their Beautiful Mothers… {I can’t help it this is a pose that I’ve been doing for as long as I can remember}

I love how the two little guys are looking off in different directions. So cute!

I am so excited to finally get these images up for you all to see. I photographed Haley and Coty’s beautiful wedding last year and since we are all busy people and our schedules were wild, we managed to get the Love Shoot taken last Autumn. I couldn’t be happier with them. Haley is so beautiful and what a sweetheart, not to mention that her Mom is an absolute doll. Jessi and I don’t know what we would do without her.

Anyway, this is another family I have been incredibly blessed by. I was asked to photograph Haley’s brother Kyle’s wedding when he married Courtney Truelove back some time ago and what a gorgeous day that was. You can bet that once the web site gets up these two weddings will definitely make it to the site.  Thank you all for trusting me with your wedding images, I pray that you will cherish them and that your children will hold them dear to their hearts for many many years to come.    Jules

Marcus + Kaitlin – Engaged

December 29, 2009

I am so excited about this wedding coming up in the new year. I feel so blessed to be able to be involved on such a deep level. I started out a few years back when Kaitlin was a high school senior and I had the honor of photographing her senior photos, which still get raves  from people even after all this time. The following year, I was asked to photograph Marcus’ Senior photos. Those too were so good, even though he has changed so much since then. I then photographed Marcus’ sister Shanna and also Kaitlin’s sister Paige’s senior photos so I feel like part of the family. I was so tickled when I saw the Facebook alert that Kaitlin put out when Marcus proposed.  I was praying that they would pick me again. Here are a few photos from their Engaged session that we met up for in Woodbury, Ky right in the dead of Fall.  We could not have asked for a more beautiful day. Enjoy! 5

Holidays are here again!!!

November 22, 2009

I am such a terrible blogger… I promise to try to do better. I forget that not everyone is on Facebook. I am about to wrap my year and will start back up in February or March of 2010. We have already started a list for Spring Portraits…

The past couple of years have been a little crazy, on a personal level. Most of you know that one of my friends, Tiffany, passed away in 2008 and this February it will be 2 years. That event started a series of craziness that has ended in 7 deaths between my husband and myself within our families. I also lost a very dear person in June… my Mom’s sister. I will blog about her on my personal blog a little later on when it is not so hard to write about her. They were both, Tiffany and Aunt Joyce two of my biggest supporters. Aunt Joyce would always brag on my photos and tell me how wonderful I was… Tiffany told me I was, well she used very colorful words.. ha ha… but that I was awesome. I miss their cheers but I also feel like their spirits keep driving me to be more, to capture more. Something deeper… that is what I long for. After their “passings”, I realized how much their photographs meant. that is what is driving me… to capture images that will “matter” in years to come.

I am excited to see what the new year will bring and I want to thank all my clients for a wonderful year… Thank you for trusting me to photograph you and your families, your weddings, your babies… you will never know how much it means to me to be such a part of your lives. You all the best… I am so thankful and grateful for each and every one of you, and I hope that we get the chance to capture even more wonderful images in the New Year. I hope everyone has an amazing Holiday!!!! See ya soon!!!! Much LOVE- Julia

Sheena: Julia we are the lucky ones to have someone so talented and so thoughtful to capture those moments in our lives that we will cherish for many years. You are amazing at your craft and I was truly blessed to have you photograph my wedding, I look forward to having you photograph me and my family in years to come. Not only are you a great photographer you are a great friend that I hold near and dear to my heart! Love you Jules.

admin: LOVE YOU SHEENA!!!!

This is another little heart breaker. Garrett and Monica’s little boy… and Laura Beth’s first Grand- Baby… can you say rotten ;)

These images do not do this boy justice. He is PERFECT!!!! What a happy boy… he smiled and laughed and he also peed on me, but that was okay… His Mommy is madly in love with him and I can definitely see why… I can’t wait to take some more of him. colton-blog2colton-blog5

Michael Jackson

June 25, 2009

I am sad that Michael Jackson has passed away. At almost every wedding I have been to lately they have either played Thriller or Billie Jean at the reception and everyone always gets out on the dance floor…  I loved him when I was a teenager… not so much in the 90’s but I have always loved Thriller. When this movie came out a few years ago it took me back to that time in my life. I know that everyone is posting his videos and so I thought I would do something a little different. All you “thirty-ish” girls out there, click on the link and enjoy…
