About

March 18, 2009

Photography has been in my life for well, all of my life. I got my first camera in the first grade, sure it was a Fisher Price toy camera, but I didn’t know that at the time. Our family has always been in love with photographs, I just grew up with all these amazing old photos and it has become part of who I am.  My Grandfather was an amazing photographer even though he never photographed professionally.

After the birth of my daughter in 1996, my Mom convinced me that I could pursue photography and be successful. In 1998, while still attending photography school, I photographed my first wedding. That was enough to get me started and I haven’t looked back since. I met Chris Holman in 2001 at his sister’s wedding, the following year, Chris and I married. He is my biggest supporter and my best friend. We moved to Louisville and I quickly became a Professional Wedding Photographer on the Louisville Circuit. That really pushed me into a whole new world of photography. Now after six years of the city life we have returned to our hometown to settle and pursue our dreams on our farm with our two children, Jessi and Jack.

I haven’t pursued a job as passionately as I have photography. I absolutely adore it. I am in love with light and what it creates when it hits a subject.

I am so blessed to be able to do what I love and make a living doing it. I believe that our photographs are more than just trinkets or snapshots. They are our only tangible link to the past.

I am proud to be a Certified Professional Photographer… and very proud to be in the business of capturing love, relationships and moments that one day will be our childrens’ and our grandchildrens’ cherished heirlooms.
