Michael Jackson

June 25, 2009

I am sad that Michael Jackson has passed away. At almost every wedding I have been to lately they have either played Thriller or Billie Jean at the reception and everyone always gets out on the dance floor…  I loved him when I was a teenager… not so much in the 90’s but I have always loved Thriller. When this movie came out a few years ago it took me back to that time in my life. I know that everyone is posting his videos and so I thought I would do something a little different. All you “thirty-ish” girls out there, click on the link and enjoy…

Kara & Adam: Adam and I love these two! Thank-you so much for capturing our special day for us. You were so much fun to be around and very professional. Talk to you soon!

Laurie: AWW I am such a sucker for a great love story!! Can't wait to hear their story!!! The pics are FAB!!

Jennifer and Dennis were married on my birthday March 28… I was going to put the usual detail descriptions but I decided to do something a little different. I asked Jennifer to tell me if there was anything special she wanted me to put on the blog about them, like how long they have been together.  She said, “Dennis and I have been together for 4 and 1/2 years prior to the wedding…we knew there was something special the moment we slowed danced to Brad Paisley’s “We Danced”. I guess that’s about it!”That says it all…

I will let these images tell the story…

Kristin and PJ Wedding

April 28, 2009

My first wedding of 2009- Kristin and PJ married at Eastwood Baptist Church in Bowling Green, KY. What a gorgeous day for a wedding! Here are some of the details from the day… {I’m a sucker for the details}. Kristin was one of the Brides that says “just do what you want, I trust you” I love it when I hear that.

I hope you these few scenes from their wedding…  By the way, Kristin’s sister made the cake. This is the cake that I bragged so much about on my Facebook. mmm mmm!!!kristin-smith-details

This was a very sweet moment when Kristin was given a Christmas present -that has been held for many years – specifically for Kristin’s wedding day. If you can read the letter, it is so precious. Everyone knows I have a soft spot for Grandmothers, and this was very touching to everyone in the room. The beautiful old handkerchief  was her “something old”…

Pretty Maids all in a row- {yep that is Jonna Kay- one of my favorite Brides ever!} so beautiful. The colors were amazing- I had black bridesmaids dresses in my wedding and if I had it to do over I would still choose black… so elegant and timeless.
